~* BEAUTIFUL BEDROOM *~

This is Part 1! We are not finished, but I wanted to share with you all the progress we are making.

I have stated before that we moved into this house four months ago. All the walls are White!! As an Interior Designer, I need COLOR!! My daughter's room is the first room that we updated. I recently bought her a new bed and she is very happy to get rid of the futon that she has been using as a bed. The Gorgeous Wrought Iron Headboard and Foot board I bought on Craigslist for $65!!!!!!! Yes, you read it right! Can you say "SCORE!!!" Look at the Detail!!!
We painted her wall a beautiful shade of Turquoise. This was suppose to match the "Tiffany Blue" color, but the guy at the store made it darker. My daughter is pleased, so I am pleased.
The dresser has so much history. We have painted it a gazillion times!! Now it is black with white handles.

She has a bit of a Parisian theme along with her Damask bedding. She has a Awesome Eiffel Tower clock that she also hangs her necklaces from. We are still looking for a different comforter, as this one is a satiny material and slides off the bed way too easy (not only that, it looks as cheap as it actually was). < smirk >

She really loves the room and spends most of her time in it. Whether it be watching TV, listening to music or hanging out with friends. We still have another piece of furniture and a mirror to paint. Pictures to hang and a few other knick knacks to get. Stay tuned for Part 2~

I wish my mom would have let me do cool things like that when I was a teenager...alas, my mother was/is afraid of both color and patterns.

  31. Visiting from SITS!

Love blue and black together! I just made a duvet cover for our bed, and bought some silky stuff for the backing...BIG mistake! We could never keep it on the bed!

Had to rip it all off and I replaced with inexpensive tea-stained muslin. Ahh, NOW it stays on the bed and we stay warm and happy! :-)

I haven't seen anything like that bed yet, but you could check it out! You never know!! I just saw a keychain hanger on one of these SITSta sites, wish I could remember who.
