~* We Are The World *~

This has always been one of my favorite songs. I remember when this came out in the 80's it made me cry and to this day it still brings tears to my eyes! Imagine my delight when I saw this video with one of my favorite Deaf performers Bernard Bragg. I have met BB in person and he is such a wonderful soul. I really enjoyed watching this and hope you do to.

    How did you get the page all one like this? With three columns?

    Both of my daughter's sign. My first daughter was very shy and signing helped her express herself. We used "Signing Time". In Germany I was having a hard time trying to speak with an older German woman. My daughter (less than two at the time) started signing and the German lady noticed and new sign language too. They proceeded to have an entire conversation about shoes and candy..language barrier solved!!

    That is / was a great song. I remember when I was in school we performed it on stage at an open house for our parents.

    I think any inspirational song that is done in ASL give the song a whole new meaning.

    Happy SITS day. I taught our 4th child to sign and have used it several times in the hospital to help determine patient needs. It's a great feeling to be able to communicate with people in a different way, now if I only knew a foreign language! Love your blog!
