~* Chair Re-Upholstering *~
When we moved into this house 4 months ago, I bought a new to us dinning room Table from my Cousin Kymberli. The chairs had an off white fabric cover that was really dirty.
I decided that I wanted to change the fabric. I have had this fabric for several years, which I got off of Craigslist for FREE!!! I decided it was a perfect match to the wood on the chairs and table. It was really simply to do and didn't take me long at all. I really love the result! It is AMAZING how one small change can make a HUGE difference. I feel like this set could have come with this fabric on the chairs. I love how it looks in my dining room too! Have you ever done something to your furniture that you feel is better than when you originally bought it? I am just loving this set now!!! So, now you all are invited over for dinner, but you may want to wait until the weather cools down, I do not have A/C. I know, UGH!! And for dinner I would make my special Greek Sauce Chicken, Bacon wrapped Asparagus, Baked Potatoes and my homemade Cheesecake for dessert! Yummy! Now taking Reservations!!

~* Happy Sweet Sixteen *~
16 years ago today my beautiful daughter was born at 6:10 pm. I remember the day just like it was yesterday, as it was and still is the happiest day of my life! My daughter has a remarkable heart and I am so very proud of her! I am excited to see what amazing woman she will be! I am grateful for our relationship and look forward to more wonderful times ahead!
Happy Sweet 16th Taylor!
I love you more than you could ever know!
Love,
Mom

~* Wreck This Journal *~
~ Week 3 ~
Welcome my fellow Wreckers!!
I am often to worried about my Journal being aesthetically pleasing, that I often forget what the purpose of the whole "Wrecking" truly is. This week, I decided to just open a page and do it. Nothing calculated or planned, just pure Wrecking!
The First page I opened to this week was "Scratch: Using Sharp Object". PERFECT!! I used Scissors (ooppsss cut the page), a Sewing Needle, Steel Wool (not really sharp, but it scratched the page), an Awl and Sand Paper (again, not sharp, but it worked!)
The second page I opened to this week was the "Close the Journal. Write/Scribble Something on the Edges" page.
For this page I wrote:
Live Love Laugh
Inspire Dream Create
Believe Imagine.
The next page that I opened was the "Sew this Page". I have been wanting to incorporate some ASL while Wrecking this Journal so I went back to my old ways of making things pretty! I retrieved some pretty Floss from my fiber drawer and began sewing an I Love You hand. I also sewed down the page and added beads and flipped up the bottom corner to try and go back to the true meaning of "Wrecking This Journal".
And the last page for this week was "Do Some Rubbings with a Pencil". This was alot of fun as I remember doing this as a kid. I used the front and back of a 1922 Game Coin, Paper Clip, Making Memories tin box, Pie Server, Sand Dollar, Metal Letter Stamps, Toy Block, USB drive and a Ceiling Tin (takes up most of the first page). If you are ever looking for your Inner Child, this is the task to do to bring them out!
I hope you all had as much fun as I did this week! See ya next Week!!

~* Wreck This Journal *~
~ WEEK 2 ~
It is taking me more effort to take, upload the pics and blog about this Journey than it is actually doing the WRECKING!! My daughter received her copy and has been Wrecking too! She is not sure she will let me share. I may have to sneak a few.
This week I numbered the pages and spilled my coffee inside the book and also left a ring on the page.
I am looking forward to catching up so that can actually blog on time and visit others blogs to see their pages. This has really been alot of fun and I am glad that my daughter has gotten involved too! (Keeping her out of trouble!!)
If you are interested seeing other "Wrecked" Journals go visit The Next Chapter!

~* Wreck This Journal *~
I, like many people have a problem destroying a perfectly good, usable book. When I received an email to join the 3rd installment of The Next Chapter and learned we would be doing "Wreck This Journal" by Keri Smith, I had to sign up!!! Visit The Next Chapter blog and sign up to participate too! It is not too late, we will be doing week 2 soon! I am just catching up!
For week one, I "cracked" the spine. It was pretty easy. I also filled out the cover with the address on it in case I lose it, as I have committed to taking it every where as stated in the "Instructions"!
My daughter was looking through the book and said she wanted to do it too. I hoped on eBay and bought her a copy. We should be getting it soon. So when I post my weekly project, I will post hers too.
